How do I connect to the CCBC WiFi (Mac OS)?

CCBC is changing the way that students & employees access our WIFI networks on all campuses. Please follow the instructions below to access the appropriate WIFI network. If you have any trouble, please take a screenshot of the error and contact the CCBC Help Desk at: 443-840-4357 or

  1. Close all open apps on your computer. Click on the “Wi-Fi” icon in the top right-hand corner of your menu bar.

  3. Make sure that Wi-Fi is turned on. Under “Wi-Fi: Looking for Networks…” select appropriate wireless network name from the list of available networks.
    Students should select: CCBC-STUDENTS
    Faculty/staff should select: CCBC-EMPLOYEES

  5. Enter your CCBC username and password. Place a checkmark next to “Remember this network.” Click “Join”.

  7. If a Certificate Alert appears, you may be prompted to enter your local Mac Administrator password. If this appears, please enter the required information and select “OK”.

  9. Done! Now you should be connected to the CCBC wireless network. A bold Wi-Fi icon should indicate that you are connected. To confirm you are connected, select the Wi-Fi icon again and you should see a black checkmark next to the name of the Wi-Fi network you selected.
ADVANCED SETTINGS: If you would like to make the Wi-Fi network you selected a preferred network, please continue to step 6.

  11. Click on the Wi-Fi icon in the top right-hand corner on your menu bar. Click “Open Network Preferences”.

  13. Click “Wi-Fi” on the left-hand side. Click “Advanced”.

  15. Under the “Wi-Fi” tab, make sure that the appropriate network (either “CCBC-STUDENTS” or “CCBC-EMPLOYEES”) is at the top of the list under “Preferred Networks:” and then select “OK”. If the network is not at the top of the list, you can click and drag the network to the top of the list.
