How can faculty share System Audio?

Sharing your system audio lets you stream sound from your computer to meeting participants through Teams. You can use it to play a video or audio clip as part of a presentation. NOTE: Computer audio can’t be shared while specifically sharing a PowerPoint or the Whiteboard feature.  If you want to share audio that is in a PowerPoint then you will need to share the desktop and then present the PowerPoint.  Only Windows devices running the Teams Desktop Application currently support system audio sharing. This is not available while simulcasting in the classroom with the web client.

To share your system audio, select Share Share screen button  in your meeting controls and then Include system audio. When you share, all your system audio, including notifications, will be included in the meeting.

IMPORTANT: Teams and your computer need to be set to the same speaker. Adjust your computer’s audio output in your system settings and your Teams audio output in your device settings in Teams.
